A community project

BUILT BY THE TOWN.
KEPT ALIVE BY YOU.

Banchory Skatepark started the way most good things in a small town start — a group of parents, skaters and locals who were tired of asking and decided to do it themselves.

Years of bake sales, raffles, grant applications, pub quizzes and bucket-shaking later, the concrete went down. Today the park sits in the heart of Banchory — open to everyone, free to use, and busy from the first ride of spring to the last frosty session of winter.

We're a not-for-profit

Banchory Skatepark Group is run entirely by volunteers. Nobody takes a wage. Every pound that comes in goes straight back out into repairs, lighting, maintenance, safety gear and the next phase of the park.

Why we fundraise — constantly

Concrete cracks. Coping wears out. Graffiti gets cleaned. Lights need replacing. None of that is free, and none of it is covered for us. So we run events, sell merch, write grant bids and ask the community for help — because the alternative is a park that slowly falls apart.

If the park has ever given you, your kid or your mates a good day, this is how you give back.
